2006-03-03 - Storing Gear Doesn't Need To Take Deck Space

Families spending a day together on the water can require a lot of stuff along for the ride. Sunscreen, a first aid kit, extra PFDs and other personal items all require storage. But when space is already at a premium, the last thing boaters need is more clutter. The T-Top & Bimini Bag from Tempress Products solves the dilemma by taking storage to new heights.

This unique bag takes full advantage of the underside of a T-top or bimini and changes it into usable space. Measuring 22" x 26" x 6", the bag can hold an amazing amount of gear. Boaters can stow up to four PFDs for adults and children in the main compartment and stash personal items, emergency gear and a first aid kit in the accessory pockets.

The T-Top & Bimini Bag is made of water-repellent marine fabric, with heavy duty mesh inserts for ventilation. Large, nylon, self-repairing zippers close the main body pocket and the smaller ones, too.

Boat owners simply use the unit's six mounting straps to secure the bag either front-to-back or side-to-side on the top's struts. The straps are fully adjustable with cinch fasteners for a tight fit. D-rings are also available for attaching bungee cords. The T-Top & Bimini Bag retails for $39.99.
