Tempress Products LP has officially completed its acquisition of Westlake, Ohio-based BoatMates Marine. The transaction was finalized on Sept. 9, 2005.

"This acquisition gives added value to our customers by providing a broader range of products under one corporate umbrella," said Mark Lozelle, Tempress president and CEO. Lozelle has been responsible for company operations the last 6 years.

"Already, there are countless synergies between the two businesses," he added. "I am excited BoatMates is now part of Tempress and look forward to growing the brands."

BoatMates is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of products for the marine, RV and sporting goods markets.

Jim Hampshire, president of BoatMates, will remain active within Tempress, acting as a consultant and assisting in product design and marketing.
